How will this work? since im sure that most userreleased content will be around the open cummunity section, will you start releasing ripped guides and exploits as well?

1. The seperate website will still exist, however, in the near future Plex will be restricted to "VIP" members and "Free" members, where free members will have access to less sections, where VIPs have full access.

2, most guides and exploits will be premium content, such as private profiles, purchaseable guides etc etc.

The ranking system is purely run by the community and is shaped by the community, you cannot "buy" yourself up the rank ladder, the effect of the current reputation system, is to make users who are appreciated in the community, appear more premium then people that are not "as" appreciated.

So no, you cannot gain VIP through the ranking system. And you cannot gain higher "Community rank" through donating to become a VIP.

I'd think having a higher community rank would enable additional features in the forums. A higher community rank allows forum browsers to, with the cast of an eye, notice that the op has status and reputation, but having special features tied to those higher ranks would encourage more active participation in the forums which would benefit the whole community.

Its a good suggestion, and its definatly something we will consider. Community rank sections is not something that we dont want, but its something that is very difficult for the staff to balance. Its one of those things that the community need to maintain themselfs,

A good example of this is how ownedcore does it, and it clearly showed over the years, that those sections died, because having "Elite" sections, and "Donator" sections and "Shared" sections, and then "contributor" sections were just too many sections to divide the content over.
