Kinda sucks that people who already donated recently (the VIPs) have lost access, especially to everything. I understand you couldn't gate individual access behind the donation as that would make it a paid service, but this is pretty darn close in definition. I hope it wont affect you legally with bossland.

Hopefully the community can come together, I'm a little broke today but generally I'd prefer something like a sub if only that were legally possible. Putting unpredictable downtime on it in addition to the blizzard/bossland ones is unfortunate. An automated VIP sub might be helpful too (I know VIP auth is dead, but things like emby i assume are gated behind this?), as if it is recurring charge many people will just let it tick over.

Good luck everyone, if it takes too long I'll probably move to licensed keys on payday though and stay VIP here for teh luvs.

what if you rent a cheaper and weaker server and enable it only for vip? i mean if u only have it enabled for vip it wont be that heavy traffic right?

That would make it appear as if services on CD is being "sold" which is not the case. We do not want to gate content that does not specifically have to be gated, but if the users cannot bind together to keep them running, then we must look at ways to bring it to attention
