Doubt a direct mirror will work, the archive gets broken due to anti virus, it will just deny downloading the exe directly or remove it right after downloading it.

Mhm, also putting it in a password protected archive prevents most antivirusses from tampering with it, but then it would still not allow you to extract it, so once again,

the only option seems to be for people to turn off their AV's or whitelist it,

 

however that has always been the case, so what changed recently?

Not much to do, i have submitted the exe for a review at nod32, will see what happens.

you're prolly right.. /shrug.. figured I'd try..

 

mebbe it'll be more obvious to people if they get a message about the executable being quarantined vs corrupt..

That would require anti virus systems to not be intrusive
