Got the same problem. Avast reports a   "Win32: Evo-gen" virus  in the cdpachter dll.  (There are some other popular files affected by this false alarm).

Solution:

You can  create  an exception for this file from the warning dialog...  but then you have to modify the excetion rule:

(Under Settings - File Protection - Exceptions)

change the end of the line that goes like this ,"...\Local\Temp\tmp1234.dll  [uPX]"  to

."..\Local\Temp\tmp*.dll"

(be sure to delete everything after .dll)

Then you can keep AVAST running.

This seems to be due to Avast, it does pick it up, however, if you're running on silent/gaming mode which I have, it won't alert you. Right click Avast, Hover over avast! sheilds control, and go to "Disable until PC is restarted". You should find that it works.

By the way, your .dll file is returning a false-positive, may want to check that out.

We know it is, has been for its full lifetime, its packed and thats what comes with such things, nothing we can really do about it.

I have the same issue with the Authentication

2014-09-25 18:16:03,481 [4] INFO  MainWindow (null) - This software is not authorized to be used from Germany
2014-09-25 18:16:03,605 [4] INFO  MainWindow (null) - Authentication failed!
2014-09-25 18:16:03,606 [5] INFO  MainWindow (null) - Logging in...

I use the AV Bitdefender, but I have stopped checking the folder of Demonbuddy and CDPatcher so I can start it normally.

But the problem with the authentication is given for cdpatcher 2.1.1.5, ...6 and ....7.

Any ideas what I can try to solve the problem?

You need to add the Temp folder to your exception list as well.

Hello there, friends.

I'll use this thread to post an issue I'm having only with the latest cdpatcher 2.1.1.7.

It's a very weird bug that makes DB main window goes upside down... It only happens with the latest version as cited. On earlier versions such 2.1.1.6, there's no problem.

The DB works as intended besides the window (all the interior, logo, words, etc) upside down.

I've been using cdpatcher for a while and never had such problem before. I haven't change anything on computer. The DB I'm using now is the latest stable v1.1.2150.383. Using cdpatcher 2.1.1.6 on this DB version works fine.

Do you guys have any idea on what is causing it?

Thanks in advance :)

Make sure to run CDPatcher as admin, and/or rename cdpatcher.exe to something else. Has been stated several times around the forum.

is there any possibility to use cdpatcher+db with bitdefender?

Actually I have a exception for the folders:

DB

CDpatcher .7

Temp

but still have the same issue with the country.

do I have to block another folder for the db?
