. Some say it's too cartoony thou I have no problems with that. Access to alpha is kinda expensive, but there will be open beta i.e. free tests "this winter", requiring only registration on the site. Here is some player made footage (early tests, have mercy!), starting with siege & voxel destruction:

...then a noob girl playing with fire:

...and some Ranger PvP:

It's creatures change as seasons go by - say, this is what happens to normal cats from spring to winter:

Another thing I like about it is - player's identity is tied to the crow-spirit and NOT the body - this will include frequent changes of class, race and sex!? In other words, once you die you'll have to fly and find a new body. Also, procedurally building guild/personal kingdoms will be like playing Tetris!?!

I love the concept of Crowfall, but it seems that devs has a "early access cancer" (like an Albion online's one) =(

Well, the problem is - they are indie, no big company and massive budget behind. They have to get money for the game somehow, without us the game wouldn't exist.

Good thing is that Crowfall will have open beta, and before that, there is no game yet. For example, current tests are still with small number of players, laggy / choppy / buggy, there is only 5 / 13 classes, building / destruction / crafting / character and gear customization are yet to come and lots of other stuff is missing.

If you join now, you wouldn't get typical early access - but rather give money to help building the game and giving testing feedback. At least that is the mindset of people joining in now.
