Was able to get the Transfer Aborted messages, but even after setting down noodle carts I was unable to see any NPCs until disabling peerblock. 

 

Not sure if patched or I'm just doing it wrong lol

Could sounds like this has been patched, since mobs disappear rather than spawn. 
I'ma check it whenever I have time, if others have the possibility i'd be happy as well.
