CDPatcher does not alter hosts file

Question

So as far as I understand, CDPatcher makes hearthbuddy to connect to Code Deception auth server by modifying my hosts file, but it seems like it currently does not.

I disabled antivirus and run CDP on administrator authority, and it still doesn't and give me "Invalid Key" error.

I tried to use hearthbuddy 0.3.1108.201, which I think is should be working according to

Please login or register to see this link.

On hosts file, there's only localhost and loopback.

If you could help me to get it work, I'd really appreciate it.

Or, if you could just let me know the address of Hearthbuddy auth server and CDP auth server, I can modify the hosts file manually. I prefer this way.

It just came to my mind too and I've just checked it, it wasn't read only.

I really wish it was though.

CDPatcher does not make any modifications to the host file.

If you are having connection issues, please post a log of hearthbuddy. The issue is most likely related to missing dependencies, cdpatcher not running when logging in, or AV/Firewall

What AV system are you using?

It's Panda Free Antivirus.

It provides great security value. You should use it too if you're using avast or something, which sucks.

Pretty sure your AV is interfering with cdpatcher

What OS are you on?

Id suggest you try to disable your AV, if that doesnt work, try on a system that does not have your anti virus system, or delete it for a moment and try again

I've just uninstalled my AV, rebooted and tried again, and it seems like it still doesn't work.

Here's the log.

Same result.

Also i am noticing you are attempting to use an old version, have you tried running the newest?

I've tried 0.3.1120.208 at the first place. And it didn't work either, which is the reason I'm trying the older version.

But I'll try it again anyway, since I have nothing else to do at the moment.

EDIT : It did not work on 0.3.1120.208 without AV software.

This might be it. Thanks.

EDIT : And this was it. It works now. Thanks, again.
