Note to ALL Botters

12 posts in this topic

The last banwave with Honorbuddy devastated a lot of people and they lost their accounts. I was one who lost their account, not just a suspension. Now, the reason for this was that I was running profiles for too long., If I recall correctly, I was running a script (Just ONE) for over 6 hours. That's an insanely long time to be doing a single task. If you saw my last post, there is a way to bot semi-safely by switching around profiles, using a combination of Honorbuddy and ReBot, different profiles, and human input. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, like most things that sound that way, aren't. But this one actually is. Run a questing bot for a little while, maybe an hour or two. Switch to a grinding or farming profile for a little while (grinding : about 2 hours tops, farming : no longer then an hour). Switch again Battelgrounds for a SMALL amount of time. LESS then an hour. By now, That's a pretty full day. Stop. Start up again in about 5-6 hours. Looks human. Simple to do. The times I recommended are just that, recommendations and suggestions.

Enjoy Botting

-Thank You

Last one was due to HB detection.

We are all aware of this and, unfortunately, if you read in the TOS/EULA of BNet, somewhere in there it mentions the allowance of gathering bits of information from your system anonymously. This is exactly like a rat works in your system. It gathers small amounts of information and sends it to source elsewhere. This is why every month or two, I run DBAN on my computer, format my hard drive, and then run a fresh install of Windows 7. This wipes the system clean, install your antivirus, install WoW, install HB, your profiles, everything. It's like it was never there.

Now everyone gets bqnned when blizzard feels like it. They have working detection in place that they use in conjunction with the primitive methods. It likely isn't ran 24/7 but they gather info for awhile, run the detection script and ban en masse when it serves them well. That's why it was pretty useless to disable arena. It's not going to change anything.

A plethora of people were banned that did nothing but run enyo+combat routine.

you don't need to caution me as i have been botting for 9 hours a day with 30 minute breaks for the last 3 years... if i get banned whippty dooo... i don't think about getting banned really and if it happens oh well.. i only do 60 day subs which are 15$ at the store.. i'll just create a new account and restart.. But then again that's if i get banned which has never happened... soo yeahhhh.. i'll be sure to let you know when happens :D

and my method too not getting banned is, (i don't gold farm)(i don't raid sorry for people who got banned using enyo)

i simply quest to 100, then all i do is pvp.. and in all honesty i dont think combat routines were what was detectable.. because i've been using vitalic for about a year in a half non stop and never been banned or even looked at. Along with Tuanha's and Portals Mage profile.

Brother, I could contest and debate this with you for as long as you'd like. Your case may be different than others. But now, I am calling upon all others who read this thread to let me know what your thoughts are. My tongue will be held until I need to step in.

Thank you

you don't need to clean your whole damn computer though lol that's going a bit too far.... just don't bot for long amounts of time and hold your breath that you don't get banned.

I prefer to air on the side of too safe then too vulnerable. Just my side since I have the tools to do so. After the banwave, I wiped everything. Not just because of that but also because things were getting slow on the computer. I use a 3TB drive to backup everything that I deem important. Documents, pictures, music, etc. Then do everything every few months. It really only takes a few hours. Most of which (about 3) is spent asleep. Then about 30 minutes just installing my OS. Or you can use a piggybacked hard drive.

My first foray into heavy botting started in March 2014.  I created 5 accounts and multiple 5 man teams across several realms.  Farmed up hundreds of thousands of gold and going sweet...until February 2015!  My bots ran 10+ hours per day for 11 months doing nothing but MoP dungeons

What got them banned?  Who can say?  What I will say is that I had started using Teamviewer to check on them from work a few days before they got banned...and I got e-mails from Blizz for every single one of them asking me to "verify" that they were mine....which I foolishly did, and they all got banned shortly thereafter.

There's really no way of knowing what Blizz really uses to ban people.  I'd wager that in those 1000s of accounts that got hit in banwaves, many were not even botting, but they fell into some criteria that made it seem like they were.

In my opinion, botting should be treated like gambling.  If you can't afford to lose, don't play! :P
