  1. You know, I can't claim to have contributed much to this site over the years, but I do believe I've made efforts and certainly did my share of donating. I may have my doubts as to the new management's abilities, but I have to say that I agree with some of the other veterans. If your post count is in the single digits, you haven't done a thing to warrant a voice on this, especially not a negative one. We're ALL unhappy about the slow progress on this, but if you're just a leech that has never made any effort to contribute, please keep your suddenly eager posts to yourself. They're not productive, useful, or welcome. If you're not happy that the well here is drying up, go find another beast to suck on. Have a nice day!
  2. So the "new" HB is out (and already outdated, thanks to a WoW patch). Looks like a completely new build. Slicker skin and interface...also seems like the update process broke a lot of things....(as in, do a fresh install, rather than let it update to this version). If that be the case, then the crack will probably have to be rebuilt from the ground up like someone said before. With a fully staffed, competent and capable team, I'm betting this would take a while...with a skeleton staff that doesn't seem up to the task. Don't get me wrong, I'd be ecstatic to be wrong, here! I've also said this before, but it fits with what's being said here. A PAID programmer will never demonstrate as much skill and determination as an UNPAID hacker who does it "because they can". I'm honestly glad I invested in 2 3-session lifetime keys back in my botting days, so I can still use HB...though I miss the CDstore, even if the only thing I ever really used were the RAF bots, which are all dead now 'cept Millz Basic...which seems to be dead on the BuddyStore, so there you have it....
  3. I've been with this community through several permutations. They've "lost" their TLD multiple times and always resurfaced. They've had staff that stole money. They've been targeted by Boss and Blizz and who knows what else over the years. Each time it happened, the community re materialized and came back stronger than ever. No one ever complained. No one ever cried. No one ever begged for money. Each resurrection of the community was a fiery phoenix casting off the fire and being reborn into something greater. So...what's the deal this time? I mean, sure, things could be worse than they've ever been... But such a defeated and somewhat shady response from the people in charge? I don't mean to be judgmental or rude, but it seems like the new people in charge are either incapable or unwilling to face the challenges they've volunteered for. We don't know the new owners well enough to trust them with our hard-earned cash. We haven't seen any marvelous results from them taking over. While I have a nostalgic loyalty to the CD community, I don't have that for the new owners and, so far, I've seen no proof that giving them money will produce any results... What was said in the OP is that the CD staff can't handle the task they promised us. And for those of you who may feel the need to argue, let me clarify. They don't OWE us anything, we shouldn't EXPECT anything from them. But what we shouldn't need to question is their ability to run the site, which many of the community have begun to do. I always enjoyed donating to the site because I felt like I should support the work they do...and no one here can honestly say that the perks of VIP weren't worth the donation. But with the VIP benefits beginning to dry up and the staff saying they can't do this without our money....it really makes one wonder if the site is worth supporting or if it's better to cut and run. I've always felt that this site had a nice family-ish feel to it. The crazy conversations in the chat box, the way people tease and pick on each other in threads...a lot of that has gone. The new staff aren't as personable as the old ones (in my opinion, of course). With the family feeling gone and CDPatcher dead....CD doesn't really have anything to offer that OC or EPVP does... So, to the new staff. What can YOU do to show that our donations would do better invested in CodeDeception's coffers as opposed to one of the similar sites such as OwnedCore or ElitePVP? If you can give me a strong, believable defense of why this site is better, I'll drop a donation. Nostalgia and empty promises are NOT acceptable responses. Edit: Also, how does one "steal" someone's domain? I mean, you register a domain through a registrar and you point the DNS at your site. The domain is registered to you and you have complete control over it. Even IF someone managed to "hack" the registrar, you issue a complaint and get it back. The fact that Bossland was able to permanently "steal" the domain seems extremely iffy to me....a few days, sure...a couple weeks...fine....but seriously, if the staff legitimately owned the domain, then how could it be stolen? I'd REALLY like an explanation of how this is possible, if someone would care to explain it!
  4. hahaha....I've dabbled with EWT, it worked really well last time I used it. The interface could be a bit unwieldy and having a buitl-in chat room was both cool and....weird
  5. Hello! I don't have WoD, so I can't comment on Garrison stuff, but I can say a few things... One, HBRelog SHOULD do as its name implies and log you back in if either WoW or HB crashes...I will say, though, that HBR doesn't seem to be keeping up with either HB or WoW as far as updates and can be somewhat...unreliable. It's a good idea to keep your caches empty and make sure all your dependencies are installed (various VC++ and DotNet versions required). There are not HBRelog specific profiles (that I'm aware of). If you're doing something like questing or mining/herbing/whathaveyou and you use a profile, you have to enter that int relog. If you're doing something that doesn't require a profile to be loaded on startup, you leave that blank (such as Dungeonbuddy). If you are referring to the "Autostart" function under the Relogger options, that simply starts every selected profile as soon as you open relogger. (I don't use this feature since I have half a dozen 5 man teams set up and it wouldn't do to have them all trying to log in at once since they're all shared across 5 accounts). Finally, I haven't used the tasks function for a while, but I believe that the Wait command ticks off parallel to other tasks, so your wait command has to take into account all of the tasks you want it to do, so if you want a profile to run for 3 hours, then log off, your Wait command has to be 3 hours long. (I'm not 100% on this, but you can go find the HBRelogger thread on TBF.)
  6. I am America! (And so can you!) --Stephen Colbert @OP Make sure you have all the dependencies installed (DotNet, VC++, etc) as that can sometimes cause a stuck at login problem.
  7. Someone more knowledgable can correct me if I'm wrong, but each version of HB is tied to a specific build of WoW, so if you're using WoW 4.3.4 (Cata?), then you'd have to figure out what version of HB worked for that build and use it.
  8. @luijk -- If you have access to some discounted HB keys or if you just want to have some legit keys, go ahead and buy them! I bought 6 sessions a while back and there have been times when CDP wasn't working that I used my legit keys. It's true, you don't get all the wonderful content from the CD-Store, but it is nice to be able to run the basics while CDP is being updated! BUT make sure you have donated to become VIP here FIRST! @Etaliken2 -- that sounds like an excellent project for you to look into! Figure out how to intercept the data stream and capture the xml and other files and save them locally! I'm sure people would like having a local copy to play with. ~_^
  9. Hello! Just adding my info to this thread! Since the last update, I've noticed this and other issues with my 5 man team. Here's the specific info I have from my observations... Temple Of The Jade Serpent--Marked as complete as killing Wise Mari--team often stands around waiting for new dungeon (but can't due to random cooldown) Mogu'shan Palace--Team tries to run through big doors after 3 clans fight rather than running down secret stairs (no recovery for this) Scholomance--Similar to above, team tries to skip a boss and run through dungeon clear doors (again, no recovery) I've had to disable random dungeons and use specific dungeon setting, deselecting the affected dungeons. I will add, however, that this happens with both legit and CDP setup, so it's NOT anti-crack. It's just a flaw in the latest honorbuddy update (or, perhaps, something Blizz has changed in how the dungeon scripting runs..which would throw off Honorbuddy when it reads said information) @Soup My team is running through Siege of Niuzao temple just fine, so it may be a different issue than the OP is talking about. EDIT: So I just caught my team stuck in Niuzao Temple..they didn't crash, they just got stuck outside the barrier leading to the bridge and final boss.
  10. Update CDPatcher and try again.
  11. The use of CDPatcher allows you to use as many instances of HB/DB/whatever as you want. You are not required to be VIP to use the tool to its fullest extent. However, VIP gives you TWO extra auth servers to use in the event that some of them go down and the VIP servers are considered higher priority than the Public ones. So the short answer is, you can run 6,258,975 bots using the free, non-vip version of CDP. But becoming VIP means a more stable, more reliable experience on those rare instances when some of the auth servers go down (which rarely happens these days). But the idea is to donate because the site is awesome and so are Suspense, Ocrion, etc... The VIP auth servers, PLEX server access, and the VIP forums (not a ton of content there, but some great gems appear from time to time) are all icing on an already delicious cake.
  12. Some basic suggestions... Make sure you've selected an auth server in CDP, you'll use Public or Public backup since you're not VIP. by default, it just lets you use the legit servers. make sure you've entered your Auth key properly. Try clearing your HB cache or reinstalling it entirely. Beyond that, post your logs and someone will see if they can help you.
  13. Haven't seen that error, using CDP or Legit keys! May be a corrupted install? Try updating CDP, first, which addresses Bossland's little tripwire "joke". Then I'd suggest installing a fresh copy of HB if it still doesn't work.
  14. Updated CDPatcher has either fixed or bypassed the trap Bossland set. All works now! If you get an error updating CDP, disable your A/V temporarily until the update is done. Mine was throwing an error until I did this. (May be necessary even if your CDP is in an exclusion!)
  15. Yeah, issue NOT resolved....will be addressed (or at least, assessed) in the morning by the Purples. hang tight, use legit keys or another bot if you have access. (ReBot works with CDP)
