Do you have a mechanism to build your future releases; ie apply the de-licensing patch and remove Licence.lua before zipping? Might be easier to build a release script with the Licence.lua I built; that way all you need to do is just drop the thing in and you're done (no patches that might break or be complicated to create).

Am tempted to pay for Zygor once and then reverse engineer their functional Elite client to see if there's a way to automate anonymized releases, lol

It take's a whole 3 seconds to do no biggie none of my releases will be broken i test them on multible accounts windows and battle.nets. You think you can reverse engineer the client updater? You should give it ago. xD

Done; lowest hanging fruit seems to be their transport layer. They don't use HTTPS for nearly anything, it's all HTTP... I'll wireshark it up later to poke around more. Here's the source code:

Uhh, btw, per the sentence above anyone paying for Zygor and using the client is probably having their password sent plain-text (just base64 encoded?) over-the-wire each time they use the desktop client. So hopefully nobody is using a password that might be used somewhere else important. Yikes.

Might have a way to automatically get the latest guides/versions and also gold data if there's some exploit. More likely the path of least resistance will be the licence.lua generator plus converting TSM data to Zygor data on-the-fly. All that is needed from that point forward is someone to source their latest ZygorGuidesViewer folder after each update with the Licence.lua file removed and/or replaced.

The client is written in Java, easy to decompile. However, it doesn't contain anything useful, because everything is processed serverside. As mentioned by yuckfoux, they don't care about security. They don't use SSL for connections and they simple base64 encode your password (prefixed wit Qö for some reason...).
