Age Of Empires 2 HD edition

Anyone buy the new HD edition of Age Of Empires 2? Add neostarwcc to your steam so we can play. I'm downloading it now so I'll have to tell you guys how awesome it is.

 

The revamped HD graphics look amazing though and I like how they have their own multiplayer server.

Its literally the same graphics man, only change is fixed resolutions and steam support.

Yes, so? It's also only 20 bucks and whoever can't afford 20 bucks for multiplayer fun (which is worth the $20 in itself)  and backwards compatibility with windows 8 and improved graphics (they do look better) then it's all worh it to me.

 

They didn't need to make new campaigns...etc because it was all perfect the way it was. It's simple man, you odn't want to play on shitty voobly and want to play on REAL servers again then it's worth the whole 20 bucks. After all,  it's only 20 bucks.

I don't want to pay $20 for an always online DRM when a perfectly fine LAN option works.

Only reason i'd buy steam one is if I had no friends and needed to use the match making.

Looked at side by side they're different. But to each his own. But let's say they did nothing to the game, you pay $10 for aok + conquerors anyway so what's $10 more to get mods and custom maps and stuff from the steam community and be able to play through steams servers? and yes you can play by lan or voobly but voobly is dying and lan is only good for when friends come over. There's the connect by ip feature but I could never get that to work. Also, like Neostar said the original game doesn't work on windows 8 at all and you have to nigger rig the game to work on windows 7 so an update to the game is welcome.

 

Anyway, if you don't want to buy it nobody forced you to. All Neostar said was "if someone bought it add me to steam so we can play".
