Hey guys, my account will expire in a few weeks so I'll have to stop doing releases. I feel I am at a point where everything is automated, sandboxed and safe from being identified with the way Zygor currently does their releases and Licencing (unless they do something drastic). If anyone wants to donate an active Zygor account, please PM me. Optionally I can give credit in each release if they like, perhaps by modifying the in-game Addon description and version string.

Second I'm guessing by this post that you have not figured a way to autoupdate without an account?

I'm no programmer or hacker so me trying would not work. But thanks again for all you have done.

I've pulled the entire API and client application apart and was not able to find anything. There's a lot of missteps but overall it seems you do need an account to get a link to a valid archive of the latest guide and to retrieve the latest gold files.

What's different is most people doing releases have been caught because there's something identifying in their releases. I believe it's the Licence.lua file, which I am able to generate for each release after reverse engineering the validation (which by most modern software licencing standards is very simple, but Zygor only has Lua to work with at runtime).

Firehawk rips the licencing code out of each release, but that's somewhat difficult to automate between releases since you need to audit the code for changes and that your licence patch merge isn't going to break any changes.

That said, I still do audit the code between each release to ensure licencing mechanism hasn't changed so my generated Licence.lua remains valid and they didn't do anything else shifty to inject identifying information elsewhere.

So yeah, I'll still need an account to borrow to continue doing morning releases. So far nobody has stepped up. I am not sure how much is remaining on my account.

That's not a bad idea; I will start a separate thread for my releases. I'm not looking for donations, just up to two working Zygor accounts. This takes me about 15 seconds to do a release every morning, and most of that work is logging into these forums.
