Cryptolock, can I remove it?

A friend of mine opened a mail from the postal office, clicked a link. He's computer got infected with Cryptolock, and all of the other computers on the network too. 

 

Do anyone know anything about Cryptolock, and possibly if it's removable?

What OS does the clients have ?

The other computers have windows 8 and 10.
