INFORMATION:

This patch may work for future releases of WarCrawler as well

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Place WarPatcher.exe in the same dir as WarCrawler.exe

2) Run it.

3) Click "Patch"

4) Open WarCawler.exe

5) Enter any license information

PS: Disable AV because patcher might make AV suspicious as it injects into WarCrawler.exe to patch it. In other words, false positives.

all patchers are detected. like 25/50 so i really dont see the point. It injects into Warcrawler.exe and makes AV suspicious no matter what you do.

Doesnt have to, cdpatcher is down to 2/50 to 10/50 depending on how its packed. Either way, it provides an md5 for validation purposes.

I'd probably ASSUME just like you are... that it's not a problem nor has it ever been. They have never had the trust/integrity issues. 

 

Not sure where you're getting your data from, but backup of your words would behoove you...

and i am talking specificity about warcrawler.

Every time u run the program (even the warcrawler from the legit website) itll send and receive data, it connects to a mail server, and the program itself is encrypted, cant remember what encryption it was. I never assume. *will update more once i get my other pc with VMware on it*

ahaaaaaaa! the encryption was with tls cipher, couldnt read what it was doing in wireshark

 

unless its some sort of authentication method, and my friend got hacked after using it(coincidently).... I do have an authenticator so I did not get hacked...    he's bought one by now though!

 

 

 

 

the top sending/reciving process = mail server

it goes away after its done its uploading/downloading runs only when you run warcrawler (which doesn't seem so malicious)

Read what data it sent out.... ? do that instead of just connection. you can also ask on HC forum for a much better explanation im sure. Report back if you do

Warcrawler did never spy on your computer. The only things that were checked: If you are trying to run more sessions than you bought and a NPC Database that was updated by the environment of each player to get the latest NPC datas.
